What is a LightJet print

The Lightjet 5000 and Lightjet 430 are the top of their class as large format digital laser printers. Lightjets are considered to be the finest quality photographic digital printers available today. When it comes to photo prints digital technology via the LightJet provides the best photo printing. These large format digital photo printers have changed the way photo labs, artists and photographers do business. Lightjets use 3 lasers (Red Green Blue) to expose photographic materials such as Fuji Crystal Archive color C-print and Kodak Metallic photographic paper. Other digital laser photo printers like the Lambda also use lasers but cannot compare to Lightjet's amazing edge to edge quality. Printing at 300dpi, (that's an apparent 4000 dpi halftone resolution!) Unlike InkJet, LightJets produce a true continuous tone photographic print. LED digital printers like the Chromira, cannot compare to the sharpness and detail of the Light Jet prints. Because your image is in digital form, you have amazing control over color, contrast and density which makes LightJet prints far superior to traditional online photo printing. LightJet Printing Options

Both the LightJet 5000 and the LightJet 430 print on a variety of photographic materials including Fuji Crystal Archive and Kodak metallic color papers. Fujitrans and SuperGloss/Fujiflex (Fuji's improved competative products for Kodak Duratrans, Kodak Duraflex), are used for advertising graphics, point of purchase, large format, trade show displays, backlit signage and rollable or portable graphics, where durable polyester based materials are required.
While we print all types of images, we specialize in high-end limited edition fine-art digital printing. The Lightjet printer, combined with the Fuji Crystal Archive or Kodak Metallic color paper, is ideal for the fine art photographer or artist who know how to offer archival quality, fine-art photographic editions to galleries or collectors.
The LightJet 5000 and LightJet 430 are capable of printing on traditional archival color photographic papers.
The LightJet 5000 prints large format digital photo prints up to 50 inches x 96 inches. The Lightjet 430, the latest technology from Oce, is able to image your photo print up to 50 inches x 120 inches in one piece on color photo materials. Digital Black and White files are printed on color paper, rendering a beautiful grayscale print.
The Light Jet 430 ia a true production digital large format photographic laser printer. Both the Lightjet 5000 and LightJet 430 professional photo printers have an endless list of applications such as satellite space imaging prints, aerial photography prints, commercial and fine art color prints and murals as well as smaller sizes too. We can even print from your press ready files (we recommend a conversion to RGB colorspace for all your scanned images). The LightJet will print to almost any usable size. Whether your needs are for a 5 x 7 inch or a 4 x 10 foot photographic mural, the LightJet digital laser printer can handle the job. And you've never seen digital camera prints look so good! With the Light Jet 5000 and the Light Jet 430 you can also produce multiple panels to increase the overall size of your color or chromogenic black and white mural-sized or poster-sized photo print. Whether it is 2 panels or 10 panels, available space and your imagination are the only limitations. Mural sized LightJet prints on Fuji Crystal Archive photo paper can be hung like photo wallpaper. Online Photo Printing

Many options exist for online photo printing, and for real photo prints digital technology provides the best photo printing. Only LightJet prints stand out from the rest. While cheap photo printing on low end paper can be had from drug stores and shopping centers, you won't find a better online photo print for your digital picture developing needs. We specialize in fine-art level printing, not online photo printing for the lowest common denominator, so our attention to detail is significantly higher.
